What's the difference between shaft alignment and belt alignment?
Shaft alignment tools measure and correct the offset and angularity between two coupled rotating shafts, such as a motor and a pump. Belt alignment tools check that pulleys are parallel and in the same plane, which is a different failure mode specific to belt-driven equipment. Fluke makes dedicated tools for each.
