These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of this website, which is operated by Measurands. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. They sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.

1. Use of the website

You may use this website only for lawful purposes and only in ways that do not restrict anyone else's use of it. In particular, you agree not to:

  • introduce viruses, malware or any other harmful code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the servers it runs on, or any connected system;
  • scrape, harvest, copy or systematically extract the product catalogue, pricing, specifications or any other content from the site, whether by automated means or otherwise, except as permitted in section 2;
  • submit false, misleading or third-party contact details through our enquiry forms, or use them to send spam or unsolicited material;
  • interfere with, overload or disrupt the operation of the site or the networks it depends on.

We may suspend or withdraw access to the site, in whole or in part, without notice, and we may restrict access to anyone who breaches these terms.

2. Intellectual property and trademarks

All content on this website, including text, page copy, graphics, layout and design, and the Measurands name and logo, is owned by or licensed to Measurands and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view the site and print or download extracts for your own internal, non-commercial reference, for example to evaluate or specify a product. Any other reproduction, republication, distribution or commercial use requires our prior written consent.

Product names, model numbers, brand names, logos and trademarks belonging to the manufacturers whose instruments we distribute, and any other third-party marks appearing on this site, remain the property of their respective owners. They are used here to identify the products we supply and to describe their specifications. Nothing on this site transfers any right in those marks to you, and their appearance here does not imply that their owner endorses Measurands beyond the distribution arrangements we describe.

Product photographs, brand imagery, datasheets, manuals and technical documents supplied by a manufacturer, or linked or provided from this site, remain the property of that manufacturer and are subject to that manufacturer's own terms. We reproduce them here to identify and describe the products we supply.

3. Accuracy of information

The product information on this website, including descriptions, specifications, ranges, accuracies, part and model numbers, images, availability and any prices shown, is provided for general reference and to help you identify a suitable instrument. It is drawn in large part from manufacturer-published material, and manufacturers change specifications, part numbers and product ranges without notice. Images are illustrative and the item supplied may differ in appearance, packaging or included accessories.

We take care to keep the site accurate, but we do not warrant that it is complete, current or error-free. Please confirm the details that matter to you with us in writing before you order, and read the manufacturer's own documentation before you use an instrument.

This is important where measurement accuracy affects safety, product quality or regulatory compliance. Do not rely on this website alone to select or configure an instrument, a reagent, a standard or a consumable for that kind of application, and do not rely on it in place of the manufacturer's specification, safety data sheet or instructions for use. Ask us and we will confirm the correct item for your application.

4. Enquiries, quotations and orders

Nothing on this website is an offer to sell. The catalogue, any price shown and any indication of availability are an invitation for you to make an enquiry. A quotation we issue sets out its own scope, price and validity, and a contract is formed only when we accept your order in writing. Where a quotation, order acknowledgement or supply agreement conflicts with anything on this website, that document prevails.

Instruments we supply carry the warranty offered by their manufacturer, on that manufacturer's own terms and for that manufacturer's own period. Nothing on this website creates any additional warranty, and this page does not set out delivery times, return arrangements or after-sales terms. Those are dealt with in the quotation or supply documents for your order. Ask us and we will confirm them for the item you are considering before you commit.

5. Third-party links and services

This website links to third-party sites, including manufacturer websites and datasheets, and it uses third-party services such as analytics, form protection and an online chat assistant. We provide those links and services for convenience and functionality. We do not control third-party sites or services, we do not endorse their content, and we are not responsible for their availability, accuracy or their own terms and privacy practices. Follow a link at your own risk and read the destination's terms.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

This website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties or representations of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the server that makes it available are free of harmful components. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Measurands and its officers, employees and agents against any claim, loss, liability, cost or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of this website.

9. Privacy

Personal data you provide through this website, including through our enquiry and quote request forms and the chat assistant, is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may amend these Terms of Use from time to time by posting an updated version on this page. The current version is always the one published here, and it takes effect from the date it is posted. Your continued use of the site after that date means you accept the revised terms, so please check this page from time to time.

11. Governing law

These Terms of Use, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of this website, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
